Miso Paste from Scratch

"Anyone know how to make miso paste from scratch? When I lived in Japan, a lady taught me how. But since my move I've lost them..." Suggestions?

I found a book,” Wild fermentatoin” with a few recipes. I am preparing to make a batch and was looking for a few new prospectives on the princeples involved. The most difficult part so far was finding a starter culture of “KOJI” that is required,found it but it hasn’t gotten here yet so I can’t recomend my source yet
