Iced Green Tea

Wednesday June 29, 2005
"I would like to know how to make ice tea from Japanese tea. I have green tea on hand as well as macha. I have read how to prepare for drinking in a cup, however, I would like to enjoy iced green teas this summer." Suggestions?

I love green tea in the winter. In the summer, however, I found a new way to drink my favorite beverage. In an old gallon milk jug, I drop 6 to 8 single-serving green tea bags, honey, and fresh lemon juice. Then I fill the jug with cool water. In about two hours, you have fresh “brewed” green tea. Remove the tea bags and serve over ice.

It’s easy, and you don’t heat up your kitchen with boiling water.
