Eggplant Tsukemono Recipe?

Do you like Japanese pickles? A forum user asks: "I purchased tsukemono from the market which were shriveled, complete purple colored eggplant with red chili. Does anyone have any recipes? I do not need the recipe with mustard. The eggplant I purchased was crunchy with a bit of spice due to the red chili." Post your suggestions in the forum!
