Tsukimi - Moon Viewing

tsukimi dango The moon viewing held in mid-autumn is called tsukimi in Japan. Tsukimi is held on August 15th in the lunar calendar. It's also calld jugoya, and jugoya is on September 25 this year. Traditionally, dango dumplings are offered to the moon in Japan.
