Japanese Recipe of the Week: Kobumaki

new year food - osechi Kobumaki (kelp rolls) is one of Japanese New Year's food (osechi). Since kombu (kelp) has the meaning of happiness in Japanese, it's often used in cooking for happy occasions. The fillings in kobumaki can be vegetables, meat, fish, and so on. Try making your own kobumaki.
