Heart-shaped Chocolate Picture - Valentine's Day Chocolate

It might not be easy to temper chocolate at first. If you temper chocolate right, you can make various shaped chocolates for Valentine's gifts/parties.

Japanese Sweets Recipes

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. sweet chocolate (for cooking)

Preparation:

Chop chocolate finely. Place 2/3 of chopped chocolate in a dried bowl. Heat water to about 130 degrees F in a medium pot. Place the chocolate bowl on the warm water. Melt chopped chocolate, stirring gently. Keep stirring the chocolate until the temperature of the chocolate becomes 122 degrees F. Remove the chocolate bowl from warm water. Add the remaining chopped chocolate in the melted chocolate, stirring gently. Cool the temperature of the chocolate to 90 degrees F. Place waxed paper in a flat pan. Place heart-shaped molds or other molds on the pan. Pour chocolate into the molds and cool them. Remove chocolates from the molds.
*Makes 4 large chocolates
