Asparagus Bacon rolls are suitable to put in Bento (Japanese lunch boxes). It tastes good even though it's cold.
Ingredients:
- 8 pieces bacon
- 16 fresh asparagus
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Preparation:
Wash asparagus and cut them in thirds. Cut bacon in halves. Place three pieces of asparagus on a bacon piece and roll the bacon around the asparagus. Secure the roll with a toothpick. Repeat the process to make more rolls. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Saute bacon rolls in the pan. Put a lid on the frying pan and steam-cook on low heat until asparagus is cooked. Pour soy sauce over the rolls and stop the heat.
