This is really easy recipe to make a delicious appetizer. This fried wonton recipe uses shiso leaves and cheese as the filling.

Ingredients:

  • 20 wonton wrappers
  • 20 small cubes process cheese
  • 8 shiso leaves
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Preparation:

Cut shiso leaves in halves. Place a piece of shiso and a cube of cheese in the center of a wonton wrapper. Fold the wonton wrapper in half diagonally, shaping into a triangle. Seal the edge well. Heat oil to 375 degrees F and deep-fry the wonton until brown.

* Makes 20 pieces.
